Wi-Fi for a full house
Coverage for every bedroom, the office, and the backyard, even when the whole family is online at once.
Vail, Arizona computer and Wi-Fi help
Homework upstairs, a show in the living room, a game in the bedroom, and a video call in the office, all at once. I help Vail households and home offices get their Wi-Fi and computers to keep up, in person or remotely.
Coverage for every bedroom, the office, and the backyard, even when the whole family is online at once.
Getting school laptops online at home, plus parental controls and screen-time limits on the devices you manage.
Wired connections, console and PC network settings, and router placement for smoother online play.
Video calls that do not freeze, printers, backups, and a desk setup that works the same way every morning.
Weekday evenings are the real test for a household's Wi-Fi. Somebody is on a video call in the office, somebody is doing homework upstairs, somebody is streaming in the living room, and somebody is gaming in a bedroom. In a lot of newer Vail homes, the router sits in a wiring panel in the garage, about as far from all of that as it can get.
The fix is usually not a faster internet plan. It is getting the signal spread around the house. That might mean moving the router, a mesh system that uses network cable often already built into newer homes, or a dedicated connection for the devices that need it most. I will check the rooms you actually use and walk you through the options before you buy anything.
School-issued laptops are managed by the school district, so some settings are locked on purpose, and honestly that is a good thing. I can get them connected to your home Wi-Fi and your printer, and explain what the district controls and what you can change at home.
For the devices you manage yourself, I can set up parental controls, screen-time limits, content filtering on your home network, and separate accounts for the kids. I will show you how to adjust everything, because what works at 8 years old will not work at 14.
Lag usually comes from the connection between the console or PC and the router, not your internet plan. A wired connection is the single biggest improvement you can make. If running a cable is not an option, a well-placed mesh system with a wired link between the units is the next best thing.
I can also help with the console's network settings, including the dreaded strict network address translation, or NAT, warning that blocks some multiplayer features.
Thinking about a new gaming PC? I built my first custom gaming PC when I was 13, and I still love doing it. I plan and build custom gaming PCs in Tucson, from picking components to a tested, ready-to-play system.
If you work from home, your home connection is your office connection. I can help with video calls that freeze, work virtual private networks, or VPNs, printers and scanners, monitor setups, backups of the files that matter, and keeping work devices and family devices separate. Running a business from home? Take a look at my small business IT support.
Outlying properties around Vail sometimes depend on Starlink or 5G home internet instead of a cable line. Those come with their own headaches, from dish obstructions to cameras you cannot check while you are away. My Tucson Estates page covers them in detail, and I provide the same help in Vail.
Vail is within commuting distance of Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, and if you are a military family, moving is just part of life. I can get a new house online quickly after a move, set things up so the person at home can manage on their own while the other is away, and reset everything before your next move.
If you want someone at the house, just ask. Same-day visits are sometimes available when scheduling allows. Wi-Fi coverage, gaming setups, and new devices usually go better in person. Remote help works well for school-laptop questions, parental-control changes, and home office software.
Home visits are $90 per hour, and remote support is $70 per hour. If you run a business from home, business rates apply: $90 per hour remote and $120 per hour on-site. You are billed for the actual time spent, with a one-hour minimum for visits, and there is no separate diagnostic fee. I confirm the rate before any billable work starts, and my pricing guide breaks down what common jobs usually take.
